St. Gertrude’s L.I.V.E. > SoulCollage®
Meeting the Crowd at the Hearth of the Soul
An Introduction to SoulCollage® facilitated by Susan Ernst on Saturday, September 26, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Pacific Time
“Individuality is never simple or one-dimensional. Often it seems as if there is a crowd within the individual heart . . . Deep within, there is a gallery of different selves. Each one of these figures expresses a different part of your nature . . . We cannot embody in action the multiplicity of selves we encounter in our most inward meditations. But without a knowledge of these numberless selves, our existence is severely diminished and our access to mystery is blocked. We are talking here of the imagination and its riches; too often we degrade imagination to a problem-solving technique . . . Your vision is your home, and your home should have many mansions to shelter your wild divinity. Such integration respects the multiplicity of selves within. It does not force them into a factitious unity, it allows them to cohere as one, each bringing its unique difference to complement the harmony.” – John O’Donohue, Anam Cara: A Book of Celtic Wisdom
In this three-hour Zoom class, we will journey to the hearth of our souls and meet some of our different selves. Some of these selves will be very familiar, some will be those we haven’t visited in a long time, and others may be new to us.
SoulCollage® is an easy, enjoyable, intuitive collage process for self-discovery and community. Working with found images, arranging them in a manner that makes sense to you, is a relaxing and fun process. Dialoguing with your creations will offer insight and reveal some wisdom you didn’t know you held.
