Monastery dressers no longer needed by the sisters were taken from storage and given to artists to be embellished and turned into works of art. With no direction except to “do whatever you feel led to do,” the women produced pieces that are as unique as themselves.
“The Wisdom of Birds” is the sixth dresser in the series and was created by Heather Berndt with help from her husband Dave. Heather Berndt is a Spokane-based graphic designer, artist and retreat leader with a passion for inspiring others to explore the divine through creativity, humor and soulful living.
