Yoga as a Tool for Finding Our “Inner” Harvest

With Kay Totten

November 5 - 7, 2024

November is a month when we see HARVESTING in our lands–especially in the Northwest where most of us live.  We see the FRUITS of labor–sometimes in our own gardens; sometimes in farms and outdoor markets where we enjoy the abundance of the earth in providing food and beauty to our homes.

HARVESTING is also something that is happening inside us.  Especially for those of us that are in the season of our lives where it is time to reflect on the gifts we have offered to our earth and its creatures and the gifts we may still be refining as we journey on toward “completion”.

I will be looking at the theme of THE BEAUTY FOUND IN OUR INNER HARVEST.  I will use the wisdom of the Celtic poet/priest John O’Donohue in his international best seller book:  Anamcara:  a Book of Celtic Wisdom

As always, Beginning “yogis” welcome!  The yoga sessions will be grounded in the Yoga for Healthy Aging method allowing for modifications in postures and safety in your practice.

Please bring a mat, blocks, or any other props you might want for your practice.  Also bring a small journal to help you reflect on the themes offered with each Yoga session.

Namaste,

Kay Totten, RYT 200 instructor

Kay Totten
I became interested in Yoga in my “later” years because (like many) I noticed a decline in my flexibility and balance. I also noticed an increasing challenge in remaining centered in my prayer life as well. What I was to learn through my exposure to Yoga was that it could be the beginning of a rich and fruitful spiritual journey as well. This led to my search for (and graduation from) an accredited Christian Yoga program (Yahweh Christian Yoga Academy). I have been blessed to be a “Yoga guide” for others in their own search for wholeness of body, mind,…
