The suggested donation is the minimal amount needed to help us meet expenses. Those blessed with more may wish to contribute more and those who have less may give less.

The final session will conclude before 11:30 am.
Depart at 1:00 pm, after the midday meal.

A Watercolor Journey

Explore watercolor painting with step-by-step instructions on the use of color and light and capturing mood and emotion. Paint with confidence and trust God in the flowing of color in your life.

For beginning to intermediate painters.  All supplies provided.

The Monastery of St. Gertrude embraces the mysteries of spiritual experience and artistic expression. We provide silence, time and space for discernment, humility and focus. We wish to help the creativity in all to flourish and deepen. Beauty comes not only from head and hand but also from heart and soul.

Pearl Maxner
Pearl Maxner grew up on the banks of the Kaweah River in the Sierra Nevada foothills. She spent carefree, barefoot days traipsing the hills and wading the creeks, in close association with the natural world. Currently living in the Clearwater River Valley of Idaho gives her the same immediate opportunity to live with and study the things she loves most about God’s incredible creation. Pearl specializes in watercolor and graphite mediums for her artwork. She has a passion for capturing the outdoor world in her watercolor pieces.
