Sr. Barbara Jean Glodowski, OSB

Sr. Barbara J. Glodowski, OSB is a Benedictine sister of the Monastery of St. Gertrude.  She has been in the field of education since 1961 serving as a teacher, principal, reading specialist, consulting teacher, and post-secondary educator.  Since 1974 Sr. Barbara Jean, has been a nationally recognized presenter, has taught numerous college classes, and has given retreats and seminars on many and various topics. In 1997 she began a nationwide ministry leading workshops on second-half-of-life spirituality. She also continued her work as a reading specialist and consulting teacher. In 2003, she was called to be the Mission/Pastoral Director at St. Mary’s Hospital and Clearwater Valley Hospital. When Spirit Center opened, she became the retreat center’s first director.

She is a certified spiritual director, certified Sage-ing Seminar Leader, certified “Hurley/Donson Advanced Enneagram Instructor”, and certified Spiritual Gerontology leader. She has received the Partin Award for Excellence in Senior Adult Ministry from the National Association for Senior Adult Ministry and the President’s Award for extraordinary service upon her retirement from St. Luke’s Health System.
